Anna Turns Four !
Thanks to a sweet and fun group of friends (and their parents), Anna's 4th birthday party was a smashing and colorful success. A great gang of buddies from Annie's church, school, and ballet class met at Double Dave's PizzaWorks for a Harry The Potter party. The kids enjoyed picking out and painting their ceramic figures, ranging from dragons to cats to turtles. We noticed a budding group of artists among Annie's friends, perhaps a trait that has drawn them all together. Daddy made sure the party princess' chair was appropriately decked out with the grandest of castle balloons. But Annie was the undisputed showstopper, with her pink princess tiara, wand, fairy wings and beaded skirt. Showtunes from various Disney princess movies roused Annie and Anna Thomas to join in a lovely dance across the floor. Everyone then enjoyed pizza, followed by scrumptious princess ice cream cake. Click here for the slide show Anna loved all her gifts, but was obviously more thrileed just to have so many good friends around to celebrate her special day. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Bella, Parker, Anna, Alissa, Josh, Isabella, Gabriela, Sara, William, and Laura for their thoughtful and much appreciated contribution toward making this a birthday to remember. |

This past weekend goes down as one of the merriest we've seen in a long time. The holiday fun flowed like a Christmas garland from beginning to end.
Naked Gingerbead Men On Saturday, John, Annie, Violet, Dad and I went to the Family Center at Epiphany to meet members of the Ladies Club who had volunteered to bake gingerbread men for the Children's Christmas Breakfast. Any meeting with these women is bound to be fun. They're genuinely caring people, who know how to have a good time--and how to turn out a serious batch of baked goods.

Listening to Music…It’s not much of a secret that Live365.com has one of the largest assortments of stations on the internet. It’s a great way to pick up niche music programming and learn a lot about the music your listening to as well. One of my favorites is Groove Theory, it’s great for listening to in an office environment and get a lot of folks within ear shot asking about the ultra cool sounds. For those of you with a sense of nostalgia or humor, try Scotia Surfer it’ll bring back from memories. As will the Holiday Stations of which there are plenty to choose. Go by and check it out today, before you know it you’ll be hooked, and that’s ok because it’s mostly free.

Santa has a handful
Anna and Violet meet Santa for the first time together, and as you can see from the look on Santa's face, the wish list was long (click photo to enlarge). As a quick fix, Santa gave Anna three bottles of bubbles (Anna's favorite) but she later wound up with a Ball and string like all her friends got. Violet was her usual charming self only asking only for some more one-on-one time with the bottle and the bed....we've all been there Violet. |

Thanksgiving was wonderful, thanks to Sam and Pam who came down and cooked a wonderful meal for us, with the help of Miranda and Lacey. Afterward, Sam, Pops, and Caleb helped John remove the giant palm from our front yard, while Pam, Sara, Annie, and Nicky put up our Christmas tree. Thanks to Dad Stephens, too, for taking several hours the next morning to help John clean up the aftermath in the front yard and install our outdoor lights. The holiday represented everything we missed during our years away from family in New York. We're thankful to be back home. Click Here for a brief slide show of the months events. |
